To set the Idle Time out on NAV Server:
1) Go to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 Administration window.
2) Select the NAV instance for which you need to set time out period.
3) There are 2 fields marked in Red in below Screen shot.

To set the Idle Time out on NAV Server:

- Idle Client Time out : Format ( [dd.]hh:mm:ss[.ff]) The interval of time that a Microsoft Dynamics NAV client connection can remain inactive before the session is closed.
- Reconnect Period : Format ( [dd.]hh:mm:ss[.ff]) The amount of time during which a client can reconnect to an existing session on Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server before a session closes.
And on NAV Client: This setting is available in the ClientSettings.config file of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client
- ClientServicesKeepAliveInterval : Specifies the interval (in seconds) between keep-alive messages that are sent from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client to Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server.
